Blake Planetarium at Plymouth Community Intermediate School

7 - 8pm EDT

Through stunning visualizations of the natural world, dive below the ocean's surface to explore the dynamic relationships found in kelp forest ecosystems, travel beneath the forest floor to see how Earth's tallest trees rely on tiny fungi to survive, and journey to new heights to witness the intricate intersection between human and ecological networks. Habitat Earth details the ways humans fit into this ever-evolving story of connection.

In the second feature, Climate Change in Our Backyard, explore the role of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere, the natural temperature variations the Earth has experienced over millions of years, and how we are affecting our planet today. Guests will also discover how scientists are researching the changing climate and what strategies people from all across the world are taking to protect our future. From a remote mountain shack in the Colorado Rockies, through ancient bubbles in Antarctic ice, and into our own homes, Climate Change in Our Backyard illuminates the story of how and why our climate is changing.

This program will also include The Clock Tower Project, which is building a shared map of the future to coordinate action for planetary health.
